Description: This feature class is derived from the Streets feature class maintained by Enterprise GIS for use with the Right-of-Way Management System. This features class contains a FROM_BLOCK field and TO_BLOCK field that stores the block range for each segment. This feature class is not an authoritative source of street centerline information. Instead, please use the DallasAreaRoads map service (https://gis.dallascityhall.com/wwwgis/rest/services/Basemap/DallasAreaRoads/MapServer) or other service maintained by Enterprise GIS.
Description: Identifies the Right-of-Way construction activity restrictions enforced by the Department of Public Works, Right-of-Way Management. The restrictions are located in the Central Business District, Landmark Districts, eruvs, and other cultural boundaries. An eruv is an area that extends the private domain of Jewish households into public areas, permitting activities within it that are normally forbidden in public on Sabbath. The boundary of an eruv needs to be interpreted carefully because the bounding streets are sometimes in and sometimes out of the eruv. This distinction is contingent upon the location of the telephone poles, permanent walls or fences that form the eruv relative to the street. The feature attributes often provide a link to a detailed description of an eruv or area.Restrictions may be perpetual or seasonal. If the restriction is perpetual, then the BEGINDATE and ENDDATE fields are null. If the restriction is seasonal, the the BEGINDATE and ENDDATE fields indicate the date range of the restriction.
Description: As required by Dallas City Charter, redistricting of elected official districts is requred every ten years based on updated Census information. This shapefile represents the updated city council district boundaries as approved by the Dallas City Council on October 5, 2011. Boundaries are based upon 2010 Census Block geography and may not conform with other data. Where street boundaries serve as district borders, the entire right of way is assigned to the northern or eastern boundary.Utilizing this file with non-census shapefiles may result in discrepancies between boundaries. To identify appropriate boundaries, please use in conjunction with the 2010 Census edges and block files.
